Graduate Exit Survey

The UFS conducts the yearly Graduate Exit Survey to get feedback from the most recent graduating class
about the academic and campus experience as well as their plans for the future.
The Graduate Exit Survey relates to several strategies of the UFS in particular the UFS Strategic Plan
and the Learning and Teaching Strategy.

                        Student Satisfaction Survey (2018, 2020 and 2021)

                    Survey of Employee Experience

The Survey of Employee Experience (SEE) aims to provide a true reflection of the employee's
experience within the UFS working environment, with the intention to provide information on
employee engagement, satisfaction and well-being. This research is being done to better improve
the policies, procedures and processes that influence the employee experience.

                    Employer Satisfaction Survey

The Employer Satisfaction Survey (ESS) is conducted annually, and the fundamental purpose of the survey in
HE is to assess how responsive and relevant the curriculum and activities of higher education institutions are.
This is done by measuring the extent to which the respective HEIs are preparing graduates to meet employer needs.
Employers' expectations of graduates are determined by the perceptions of the critical skills that are needed
to meet the industry's demands in different professions. Therefore, this survey will determine the satisfaction
of employers regarding the performance of UFS graduates in various companies and workplaces

                    Graduate Destination Survey

Graduate destination surveys (alumni research or tracer studies) allow researchers to collect data
about the actual labour market outcomes and workplace experiences of university graduates and compare
these with their expectations and plans at the time of graduation. The UFS amended its Graduate Exit Survey (GES)
questionnaire to collect data about employment, future studies, satisfaction, and skills acquisition from alumni.
The Graduate Destination Survey (GDS) aims to provide empirical evidence to inform interventions intended to better
prepare UFS graduates for the world of work and improve their employability. Data is collected through an online
survey distributed to UFS alumni registered in the UFS alumni database and all graduates who completed the GES.
The findings provide the University with a better understanding of the work-life of its alumni, the transition
from study to work, and the professional relevance of the graduate attributes and other skills graduates acquire
                        at the UFS.
