The Vision of UFS-DiMTEC is to be an internationally recognized Centre of excellence in disaster management training, education and research in Africa.

 

Mission

Our mission is focused on three outcomes. Firstly we provide world-class education and training to post graduate students in disaster management in order to capacitate them to reduce disaster risks in their sphere of infl uence. Secondly,
we do cutting edge interdisciplinary research, which provides solutions for a resilient planet in the face of global change. Th irdly, we serve our community, the continent of Africa and beyond.
