'Crystallography as vehicle to promote Science in Africa and beyond'
Pan African and South African Meeting of the International Year of Crystallography (IYCr2014) - IYCr2014 Africa
The organisers would like to express their thanks to all participants for an interesting and productive Conference and Summit. We look forward to welcoming you back Bloemfontein in the future.
It consisted of a three-day Conference [12-15 October] in the form of high level scientific presentations, also by young scientists in particular. This was followed by a Summit [15-17 October] as platform wherein Science Policy Makers in Africa were brought together, and ways to promote the expansion of Science in Africa were explored and debated.
Participants were welcomed from across Africa and beyond.
This meeting was held with UFS Chemistry as host (click here), the IUCr as Patron (click here) and the ECA as Regional Associate (click here), and has the South African Government’s Department of Science and Technology (DST) (click here) as principal partner.
