As a registered Industrial / Organisational Psychologist, Dr Leon Bezuidenhoud is currently employed at the University of the Free State as a Lecturer. He completed his PhD in Consulting Psychology through UNISA. This prestigious degree is only offered at three universities worldwide and is subject to a strict selection process. Within the PhD degree programme, he underwent training in organisational performance, psychometric assessment, design and implementation of assessment centers, organizational development and change interventions.
As a lecturer he has worked at a number of Higher Education Institutions, including the Free State, Mpumalanga, Fort Hare, Central University of the Technology, and Private Higher Education. He has presented a number of research papers at international and national conferences. In 2017, he was awarded the prize for the best research paper at an International Business conference in Sweden. He has experience in Phd, Masters and Honours level supervision, successfully supervising more than 48 students on these levels. He has also international teaching experience, presenting a specialized course in Bremen, Germany.
As a registered Industrial Psychologist he has worked within the South African Police Services as the Head of Psychological Assessment and Transnet as an Organisational Development Consultant. At the Centre of Teaching and Learning as an Assistant Director for Leadership and Staff Development. He acts as consultant for various companies.
