Short CV

Highest Academic Qualification: B.A.Hons. I was appointed as junior lecturer at the University in July 2001. Currently, I am responsible for the Municipal Management courses on second and third-year level. I am also busy with my Master’s degree and hope to complete it at the end of the current academic year. My field of interest relates to the structures within regional authorities that aim to make service delivery to local communities as efficient and effective as possible. An important component thereof is the effective utilisation of the available resources, especially human resources. For this reason, my Master’s dissertation pertains to the effect of recent municipal restructuring on the performance of key staff members. Regarding my academic participation within my subject field, I have delivered two international papers and hope to produce research outputs on municipal and public management soon.
