Students with this degree can become economists, econometricians, and economic analysts, and be employed in institutions such as banks, the Johannesburg Securities Exchange (JSE), insurance companies, the South African Reserve Bank, and the National Treasury. Students will be equipped to critically engage and analyse domestic and international macroeconomic policies.
