The Interdisciplinary Centre for Digital Futures (ICDF) has been at the forefront of developing innovative human language technologies aimed at empowering underrepresented communities. Since the launch of our dedicated project in 2022, we have focused on creating impactful solutions specifically for the Deaf community.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to ensure that advancements in human language technology are created by the people, for the people. We recognise that the future of language technology should be inclusive, accessible, and designed with the needs of all individuals in mind — especially those whose voices have often been overlooked in the tech space.
