Laetitia Fourie

Laetitia Fourie is the Programme Director of the Centre for Labour Law, where she manages the offering of short learning programmes and advances accessible legal education. She also lectures various under and postgraduate modules in the Deparment of Mercantile Law that include Labour Law, Consumer Protection and Credit Law.

Laetitia is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. She holds an LLB (cum laude), an LLM in Mercantile Law (Labour Law), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning, and is completing her PhD at Leiden University. She is the recipient of research grants by the Leiden University Fund and the University of Liverpool School of Law and Social Justice. Her current research focuses on disability and labour law, particularly the interpretation of disability and reasonable accommodation in the context of health-related impairments. This includes examining how international disability rights standards are applied across diverse legal systems, aiming to advance more inclusive and context-sensitive approaches to work. Laetitia is member of the African Labour Law Society and is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of those with physical, mental or any similar types of impairments.

Lerato

Lerato Moselesele

Senior Assistant Officer

Lerato Moselesele is a Senior Assistant Officer at the Centre for Labour Law, where she oversees the administration of the Centre’s Short Learning Programmes. Her core responsibilities are academic administration, general office administration, and financial administration, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all programme-related activities.

She holds a Bachelor of Administration and a Postgraduate Diploma in Labour Law from the University of the Free State.

Lerato is a highly organised and motivated professional with a strong passion for administrative excellence and office management. She is known for her hard work, good communication skills, her ability to multitask effectively, and manage responsibilities efficiently.

Bongi

Sibongile Mongane 

Senior Assistant Officer

Sibongile Mongane is a Senior Assistant Officer at the Centre for Labour Law. Sibongile has a strong background in public management and business administration. Her expertise lies in program coordination, community engagement, stakeholder relations, and event planning. Sibongile holds a Bachelor's Degree in Public Management (UJ), a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (UFS), and is currently pursuing a Master's in Entrepreneurial Management (CUT).

Her skills include organisational and administrative abilities, strong communication and interpersonal skills, proven problem-solving and analytical thinking, and proficiency in program management and coordination.
