RESEARCH AND PUBLICATIONS IN ACCREDITED JOURNALS

2009

LL.M (research) under study guidance of Professor CF Swanepoel. Title of LLM: The symbiotic integration of theory and practice: a sui generis approach. Primary focus on the relationship and potential relationship of the practice of law and the study of law. Subsidiary focus on “how” best from a South African perspective to integrate the two, and how law faculties can prepare graduates for the transition from university to practice. In the study I also provided a definition of Clinical Legal Education with community service learning as methodological emphasis within the South African university law clinic paradigm. The study concluded by proposing the use of community service learning as foundational epistemology from which to develop and inculcate skills and values of clinical legal education best suited for a specific year of study of the LLB degree.
