Dr Annelize Oosthuizen
Area of expertise: Tax policy, compliance, and education

Dr Annelize Oosthuizen is an experienced tax academic dedicated to advancing taxation education and research. She specialises in tax policy, compliance, and education, contributing to thought leadership in the field.
She has more than 18 years of experience in teaching taxation at various levels – from the first year to the postgraduate level. She has a keen interest in interpreting tax legislation. The title of her PhD thesis, A tax framework for crowdfunding in South Africa, focused on innovative financing methods for small businesses. She is also the author of various chapters in leading tax textbooks.
She is the Subject Head of Taxation at the University of the Free State and is a registered chartered accountant (CA(SA)) and a registered tax practitioner.
