Dr Nico Keyser

Nico Keyser is Head of the Department of Economics and Finance at the University of the Free State. He became an academic in 2003 after working in the private sector for several years. He has taught different Economic and Financial Economic subjects. He is currently teaching Macroeconomics II and Financial Economics II as undergraduate subjects, and Financial Regulation on postgraduate level. Nico Keyser obtained the following tertiary qualifications: a PhD; a master’s in Higher Education; a master’s in Economics; an honours in Economics; a Higher Educational diploma; and a BCom degree. He has published and does research on finance, political economics, and higher education, which include topics such as inequality, economic freedom, finance, and higher education.
