Dr Remeredzayi Gudyanga

Dr Remeredzayi Gudyanga is a lecturer in Curriculum Studies and Higher Education at the University of the Free State, specialising in STEM education. He completed his master’s degree in chemistry education in Cuba. Dr Gudyanga completed his PhD in Curriculum Studies at the University of the Free State. He brings extensive international teaching experience to his academic and public work. Dr Gudyanga has taught high school science and mathematics in Zimbabwe, Namibia, and South Africa. He also served as an assistant lecturer and research assistant at South Dakota State University in the United States, where he taught and supported chemistry laboratory modules.
His areas of expertise include curriculum reform, teacher professional development, chemical laboratory safety, decolonising the science curriculum, and the integration of artificial intelligence and immersive technologies into STEM education. He has published in national and international journals and regularly engages with public audiences on matters of education policy, assessment standards, technology in schooling, and the future of science education in Africa. Dr Gudyanga is available for media interviews, expert commentary, panel discussions, and community engagement related to science education, mathematics education, curriculum transformation, and digital innovation in teaching and learning.
