2025  First-year Information for Natural and Agricultural Sciences

ACADEMIC ADVISING FOR NAS STUDENTS 2025

NAS students who need academic advice from their programme directors to complete their online registration or who is experiencing online registration challenges must contact their programme directors using the Service Request Management system. Students must NOT email their programme directors.

When you describe your challenge, please be as detailed as possible. DO NOT only write “Please assist with registration”, but write “I have a registration block” or “Please advise whether I should register for module X or module Y” or “I am not able to register for any third-year modules” etc.

Examples of reasons to contact your programme director:

• Need advice on which modules you need to register for
• The wrong academic year level opens on the online registration planform
• Academic registration block (yellow and red students)
• Academic advisement block
• You wrongly registered a module or forgot to add a module and are not able to make the changes on the online system
• Approved appeal outcomes
• Module(s) appearing under your curriculum in the NAS Rulebook do not show on your online academic structure (step 10 of registration process)
