Kovsie ACT office is responsible for providing guidance and structure to the ACTIVE CIVIC TEACHING activities of the UFS.

The programme develop students in order to equip them to function efficiently and effectively in the ever-changing 21 century, fourth industrial revolution arena to become global citizens.  

Our programmes and activities have a number of strengths that can help to develop graduate attributes through co-curricular, high-impact practices.

Any person registered for a formal qualification at the Bloemfontein Campus can apply, providing that the person:

  • does not serve on their residence’s committee in the same year as applying for a position on the committee;
  • subscribes to and undertakes to promote this constitution and its objectives;
  • promotes a culture of non-discrimination, transformation, diversity, and the reconciliation of all cultures.
  • has not been convicted of any crime by any court of law in the Republic of South Africa or elsewhere and sentenced to imprisonment without the option of a fine or a fine of more than R5 000 (FIVE THOUSAND RAND).
