Volunteer Programme

Kovsie ACT office is responsible for providing guidance and structure to the ACTIVE CIVIC TEACHING activities of the UFS.

The program develop students in order to equip them to function efficiently and effectively in the ever-changing 21 century, Fourth Industrialrevolution arena - to become global citizens.  

Our programs and activities have a number of strengths that can help to develop graduate attributes through co-curricular high-impact practices.

Any person registered for a formal Qualification at the Bloemfontein Main Campus can apply, providing that a person:

  • does not serve on their residence’s committee in the same year as applying for a position on the committee;
  • subscribe to and undertake to promote this Constitution and its objectives;             
  • promote a culture of non-discrimination, transformation and diversity and the reconciliation of all cultures.
  • has not been convicted of any crime by any court of law in the Republic of South Africa or elsewhere and sentenced to imprisonment without the option of a fine or a fine of more than R5,000 (five thousand rand).
