UFS timelines for NRF rating process
- September – October (towards a first draft)
In the interest of time, while awaiting the NRF’s system opening call, start preparing your narratives, H-index, and impact factors offline, because there will only be approximately one month to prepare your online application. Colleagues from the library will be able to assist you with your H-index and impact factors, should you need assistance in this regard.
- 31 October 2023
Internal deadline: Submit the first draft of the application (NRF online format) to the designated authorities, Eleanor van der Westhuizen (vdwesthd@ufs.ac.za) and Thabi Mosoetsa (MosoetsaT@ufs.ac.za).
- November 2023
Feedback on the first draft of the application following review by a committee.
- 8 December 2023
Submission of the second draft of the application.
- 24 January 2024
Feedback to applicants.
- 12 February 2024
Internal submission made by the applicant.
- 15 February 2024
DRD submits final applications.
During this period: Eleanor van der Westhuizen (vdwesthd@ufs.ac.za) and Thabi Mosoetsa (Mosoetsat@ufs.ac.za) will be available to respond to queries. However, it is important to adhere to the internal deadlines to ensure that we can assist you and quality-assure the applications before submission.
