Many individuals continue to have the wrong concept of what occultism entails, as well as its causes and impacts. Johan de Beer from the Auksano Trauma Therapy Centre gave UFS staff an intense presentation on occult practices.

The mission of the centre is to offer long-term Christian therapy and support to the victims of destructive subcultures and their families. Auksano currently incorporates three divisions, namely: Trauma and Destructive Sub-culture Division, Addiction Division and ITR (recently added).

Auksano treats victims as spirit, flesh and psychological units. They incorporate and maintain Christian values and ethics in all their decisions and activities, treat all human beings with dignity and without discrimination, and value their staff and volunteers.

With various components/practices of occultism, we find a strong link between dimensions of trauma, such as HIV and drug abuse, to name a few.

With regard to children, they often go through a journey of hurt prior to their fascination with and dependence on occult practices.
