Innocensia Mangoato says she’s always had an interest in science, and initially wanted to study medicine. She ended up doing a BSc in Physiology and genetics.

Innocensia Mangoato, Pharmacology Masters graduate, recently appeared on SABC3's flagship youth programme Hectic Nine9, after her research on using cannabis in cancer treatment earned her a 2018 Women in Science Award.

No registration fee for Honours studies in 2014

Undergraduate students of the University of the Free State (UFS) who wish to continue with their Honours studies, will not pay registration fees in 2014. This includes students from other universities with South African residence who wish to do their Honours degree at the UFS. Normal tuition fees will still be payable, but the period will be extended to 31 March 2014. This only applies to students with no outstanding fees from previous years.
