I am a trained senior medical Technologist with a National Diploma in Virology. Following my apprenticeship at the NHLS I joined the NHLS, Virology where after I joined the NCL in 2012. I have over 30 years experience in a Diagnostic Virology laboratory. I am currently responsible for quality control tests of live viral vaccines and multicomponent bacteriologic vaccine. I am also involved in the optimisation, validation and implementation of new assays.
