ICRA: WAGENINGEN, THE NETHERLANDS
Ntsikane Maine participated from 30 January to 29 June 2006 in the core team capacity-building phase of the Tailor-made Training Programme for Agricultural Research for Development in South Africa, which was funded by the Netherlands Programme for Institutional Strengthening (NPT).
She completed this phase of the programme with the final grade: Very good (90%).
This phase of the training programme included:
1. In the Netherlands (13 weeks): acquiring knowledge and skills in rural innovation approaches and institutional change, including reflection on its relevance and application in South Africa.

2. In South Africa (9 weeks): applying this knowledge and skills in an inter-institutional field study and developing an action plan to contribute towards institutionalising Agricultural Research for Development in Post-Secondary Education and Training.

ICRA was established by European member governments of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research, and its capacity-building programmes are certified by The Netherlands Council for Certification of International courses (NCCIC).
