I am an agricultural economist and columnist with extensive knowledge of the South African agricultural environment and specialise in the livestock industry and red meat markets. Currently I am a lecturer at the University of the Free State, Department of Agricultural Economics, a science editor for Plaas Publishing and serve on a number of councils and committees.
