The Assessment Centre is where the assessments of the Advanced Certificates in Teaching (ACT) – across seven provinces in SA – are prepared to be sent for marking and moderation.
The Centre strives to produce quality marking and timeous returning of marked assessments.
To achieve this, centralised marking was introduced to the Centre and we make use of a group of well-qualified subject specialists from across the country who help with the facilitation, marking, and moderation of the different modules.
In our attempt to produce quality marking, the Centre organises memorandum discussions for every assessment that needs to be marked. Workshops are also done on a regular basis to better equip the moderator and assessors. We are in constant contact with moderators and academic coordinators for problems to be attended to and resolved in the shortest possible time, thus upholding quality distance learning to students all over South Africa.
