1. What impact has GradStar had on your life in 2018?
If I have to reflect back I would say that GradStar was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I realised that I have the ability to meet my potential. When I first heard of GradStar I didn’t think anything of it, but that little voice inside of me said: “Just give a try” and now a few months later I have been successful as not only one of the Top 100 but also one of the Top 10. GradStar has opened so many doors for me with so much recognition and possible job opportunities with Top Corporate companies. I am very thankful for the opportunity that GradStar has given me.
2. How do you stay motivated and on track with your studies?
My biggest motivation would definitely be my family. I remind myself that I am not only doing this for myself but for family to give them a better life. I have always been a motivated and determined person so I always ensure that I do my best and just get the job hard regardless of the challenges and obstacles.3. What drives you to excel in your studies?
What drives me to excel in my studies would definitely be the fact that I do not consider myself a quitter. I believe that what you start you need to finish and you need to do it wholeheartedly and with passion.
4. Would you recommend GradStar to other students? Why/Why not?
This is honestly a growing phenomenon that anyone would want to be part of. It’s an amazing opportunity and you get to learn so much from the other entrants, the sponsors as well as yourself. I mean the definition of what GradStar is should already inspire and excite you to enter:
“GradStar is our programme that recognises the Top 100 students across the country based on leadership qualities and readiness for the workplace. We receive over 3,500 entries which are then narrowed down to the top 100, ‘then the 10 of the Finest’. Many of the Top 100 recognised students have received job offers from major employers as a result of being recognised through this programme.”
Who wouldn’t want to learn more about themselves as well as be connected to a Top Employer and still be connected to a mentor who can help you through your workplace readiness journey.
5. What are your plans for 2019?
My plans for 2019 would be to enter the working world.
