Recording of faculty-specific performance descriptors for academic staff
The data entered here will not be used for performance evaluation or management, it is merely for discussion around the proposed scales and does not create a reasonable expectation of action on the part of anybody at the UFS.
The goal of this process is merely to promote a fair and balanced implementation of the systems that may be introduced in future.
This form should be completed by the Academic Head of Department (or Line Manager) in order to maintain grading consistency within departments.
Step 1: Study the specific descriptors for each level of performance in the four areas of academic contribution
These areas are Teaching and Learning, Research and Innovation, Engaged Scholarship, and Leadership and Administration. You will later be asked to grade yourself on these descriptor scales.
Each faculty has faculty-specific descriptor scales.
