Welcome to the Office of the Director at the Directorate for Student Recruitment Services. I am Nomonde Mbadi, leading this dynamic directorate. I have a B Com from UNITRA (now WSU), a B Com (Hons) from UNISA, and an MBA from UKZN. My academic foundation is strengthened by advanced training in the Executive Development Program from the University of the Free State, alongside comprehensive studies in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Academic Advising, and Executive Leadership.

My leadership is centered on syncing our strategy with the university's forward-thinking Vision 130. I ensure that each department under my direction—including Undergraduate and Postgraduate Student Recruitment, Integrated Marketing and Innovation, Special Events and Projects, Kovies2B_Connect Centre, and Research and Data Management—works in unison to exceed our shared aspirations.

For me, the key motivation is to cultivate not just the intellect but also the hearts of our future students, acknowledging their individuality. However, my dedication and commitment continues; I am keenly aware that the core of any successful organisation is its people. The well-being of my staff is crucial, and I work unceasingly to ensure they thrive, fostering an environment of dedication, commitment, and contentment in their roles.

At SRS, our mission transcends the conventional boundaries of employment.  It is a passion, a calling that resonates with each team member. I lead a group of individuals who are not merely task-oriented but approach every challenge with zest and pleasure. We are not just present in our roles; we are invigorated to contribute, grow, and make a meaningful impact every day. Rethabile Motseki

Rethabile Motseki currently serves as the Office Manager to the Director of the Directorate of Student Recruitment. She holds a  Post-Graduate Diploma in Project management, with over a decade of experience in administrative roles, specializing in the higher education sector in South Africa. Rethabile is an accomplished Office Administrator Manager, with a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset, Rethabile excels at navigating complex organizational landscapes while never losing sight of the overarching goals.

Rethabile is passionate about driving innovation and efficiency, she is known for her ability to streamline processes and implement creative solutions that enhance productivity and collaboration. She is dedicated to supporting the success of both staff and the organization as a whole, and she is poised to continue making impactful contributions in the realm of office administration and management. She is dedicated to fostering the growth and development of her team members, Rethabile has honed her skills in providing high-level strategic support and ensuring the successful execution of organizational mandates.

As an Assistant Researcher at the Directorate of Student Recruitment Services, I operate within the Director's office, where I am entrusted with a range of projects appointed by Director Nomomde Mbadi. These projects encompass diverse tasks, including but not limited to the production of promotional videos and the development of content for specific social media platforms tailored to our target audience.

Every endeavour I undertake is infused with a deep sense of passion and a commitment to delivering impactful outcomes. Within our department, teamwork is fundamental, fostering an environment that is both collaborative and enjoyable. 

I consider it both a blessing and a calling to wake up each day to pursue work that I am deeply passionate about. Working closely with the Director of the Student Recruitment Services Directorate is a privilege that affords me invaluable opportunities for learning and professional growth. 

In this role, I am dedicated to contributing meaningfully to the mission and objectives of our department, ensuring that our efforts continue to resonate positively with prospective students and stakeholders alike.
