Conference Accommodation

The Bloemfontein Campus stands proud in the city of Bloemfontein – capital of the Free State and judicial capital of South Africa. The campus is situated in Nelson Mandela Drive, one of the main roads into Bloemfontein, and is within walking distance of shopping centres, schools, and other places of interest.

UFS accommodation is very popular and offers truly affordable accommodation close to the centre of Bloemfontein. During holidays, the university makes this accommodation available to delegates attending conferences, sporting events or other functions, whether on campus or elsewhere in Bloemfontein.

All residences are located on campus and are within walking distance from all venues and sports fields. Although most of the accommodation consists of twin rooms, some residences offer a limited amount of single rooms.

The campus is immaculately maintained and provides a safe and secure environment for students and guests alike.

For guests accommodated in the residences, the following facilities and services are provided:

• Accommodation for over 4 000 delegates
• Communal bathrooms

• Personnel on duty at all times
