During 2020, the course in Creative Writing at the Departement of Afrikaans and Dutch, German and French (UFS) produced three book publications, namely Weerlose meganika written by the well-known architect, Anton Roodt; Die kleinste ramp denkbaar by Francois Smith; and Luistervink, by Madrė Marais.

Jerzy Koch

Afrikaans poetry by research fellow, Prof Jerzy Koch

The book of poetry Pleks van Plaas, by Jerzy Koch, was published recently. He is head of the Section for Dutch and South African studies at the Adam Mickiewicz university in Poland, he lectures Dutch literature, colonial literature and Afrikaans. He also acts as translator for various Afrikaans writers. He spoke to Willem de Vries about his latest publication. Click here to read the interview.
