Our first research project was launched in early 2003 when a large number of skin cancer cases were treated with Photodynamic Therapy.

Studies done so far:

  1. January 2003 – December 2003: The use of Photodynamic Therapy in the treatment of superficial basal cell carcinoma.
  2. January 2003 – December 2003: The use of Photodynamic Therapy in the treatment of actinic keratoses.
  3. December 2007 – November 2008: House Dust Mite Species and Allergen Levels in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
  4. October 2008, ongoing: The use of PDT as treatment for actinic keratoses in albino patients, a comparative study
  5. October 2007 – December 2008: The value and significance of procalcitonin determinations in the management of patients suffering form toxic epidermal necrolysis.
  6. June – December 2009: Double-blind, randomized, dose escalation study of the efficacy and safety of ZK 245186 ointment in concentrations of 0.01%, 0.03% and 0.1% over 4 weeks in patients with Atopic Dermatitis (AD)
  7. January 2009 – December 2009: Fungal species that cause tinea capitis in the Free State Province of South Africa.
