First Year
Orientation Day
An orientation session will be arranged with all first years in January. Please be vigilant about information that is sent out to all first years by the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Budget
Uniform: Students are required to wear navy pants with white shirts (academic wear) until they receive their uniforms which have to be bought at the start of the first year.
Equipment: Students will be expected to purchase equipment (stethoscope, goniometer etc.) at the start of the first year. Students are requested to refrain from purchasing any of these products on their own before consulting with their lecturer.
Information about costs will be conveyed to students at the start of term.
Second Year
Nursing
During their second year students will be educated and expected to work in hospitals to receive nursing training. Information will be provided to students at the start of term.
Third Year
Clinical work
Students are expected to work in clinical areas under supervision. Information will be provided to students at the start of term.
Fourth Year
Clinical work
Students are expected to work in clinical areas under supervision. Information will be provided to students at the start of term.
Tours
Students will be going to the Comrades Marathon on an educational tour. Information will be provided to students at the start of term.
