I am an Occupational health nurse and nurse educator currently working at the University of the Free State (UFS) as a lecturer in the School of Nursing. I am responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules in healthcare management and research supervision. Currently, I am busy developing the curriculum for the postgraduate diploma in Health Services Management to be implemented in 2023.
I delivered oral presentations at National and International conferences on the research I did for my master’s and PhD. I have two publications in peer-reviewed journals and is currently completing my PhD in Health Professions Education.
People, and to be of service to people is one of the passions in my life. I receive a tremendous amount of joy, knowing I make a difference in an individual`s life. I enjoy working with people of different backgrounds and cultures and want to assist students to develop in the best version of themselves. Teaching and caring for students and seeing them develop into competent, confident professionals provide me with a feeling of fulfilment.
