SART
- Receive, process, and monitor incidents of unfair discrimination and sexual and gender-based violence.
- Coordinate the Sexual Assault Response Team (consists of one sexual-assault survivor, one legal, one gender, and one human-rights expert).
- Liaise with campus Protection Services for reporting and investigating on-campus incidents, as well as with the community liaison officer for reporting off-campus incidents.
- Arrange medical and testing support (Kovsie Health).
Arrange psychological counselling via Employee Well-being in the Department of Human Resources for staff and the Directorate for Student Discipline and Mediation for students.
The policy ensures implementation and adherence to:
- UFS Sexual Harassment, Sexual Misconduct and Sexual Violence policy of 2018; and
- Anti-Discrimination, Promotion of Equality, and Social Justice policy and procedures of 2018.
