Students at the University of the Free State’s (UFS’s) Bloemfontein Campus were treated to a scrabble game on Tuesday 13 October 2015. The game formed part of the StickIit Campaign launch. Not even the strong unseasonal winds could stop the successful and fun-filled launch.
Lacea Loader, the UFS’s Director of Communication and Brand Management, applauded the effort and implored students to use the designated area for sticking up posters in future. Martie Nortjé, UFS Brand Manager, was pleased with the outcome, and stated with great optimism that both internal and external stakeholders should find it easy to adhere to the procedures that have been put in place for poster placement.
The campaign was launched to promote a neater campus aligned to the brand. Managing and protecting the university’s brand is at the heart of the campaign.
Stickiteers are the campaign watchdogs, who will monitor whether students and external stakeholders are using the designated areas to put up their posters, in order to protect the architecture on campus.
This campaign collaborates with Student Affairs and the Department of University Estates.
