Registration Dates
Students falling in the following categories are encouraged to register on the dates provided below:

Senior/Returning students 30 January – 10 February 2023

Undergraduate first-year students 06- 17 February 2023

Senior/Returning Student Registration Process

Registration for senior or returning students commences on the 30th of January 2023. It is important to note that no student can be assisted to register if their financial blocks are not lifted or in the case of excluded students, if their appeals have not been successful. It is also important to accept the terms and conditions that have been uploaded on Oracle (PeopleSoft) as a compulsory Activity Guide before registration can take place. Ensure that this is sorted before reporting to register. Senior students will be able to register in one of two ways:

1. Via fillable PDF that is duly completed, signed and emailed (with the subject being Your Student Number, Surname and Initial(s)) to LawAdvising@ufs.ac.za. The PDF registration form is now a one-pager, and the terms and conditions have been uploaded on Oracle (PeopleSoft) as a compulsory Activity Guide before registration can take place.

2. In person on campus at the EXR registration venue.

Additional Information

Currently, academic records may not yet reflect completed qualifications. This is because of the introduction of a new process where your qualifications need to first be confirmed by the Executive Committee of Senate (ECS) before your academic records will be updated. Due to the above-mentioned confirmation process, LLB graduates must note that they may not receive firm offers for postgraduate studies until their qualifications are confirmed.

LLB graduates can request a “Confirmation of Completion” Letter by sending an email request to either Mr Awusi (AwusiWK@ufs.ac.za) or Mrs Grobler (GroblerH1@ufs.ac.za).

1. Please send only one email request.
2. Please email your request to only one person (Mr Awusi or Mrs Grobler).
3. Please do not email both Mr Awusi and Mrs Grobler.
4. And finally, please be patient after you send your email. It will be attended to.

Progression and Appeals

Excluded students were sent confirmation of this via email and advised to appeal. It is important that appeals are submitted as soon as possible so that excluded students will receive their outcomes early. If you missed the December deadline you must be sure to submit your appeal by the 20^th of January 2023.
