Letter of Introduction for Access to Other University Libraries

A Letter of Introduction is issued by the University of the Free State (UFS) Library and Information Services (LIS) on behalf of a registered student or staff member, requesting permission to access another university’s library.

UFS LIS also accepts requests from other university libraries for their members to use UFS library facilities, in accordance with the CHELSA Memorandum of Understanding.

Who can apply?

• Registered Master’s and Doctoral students
• Academic staff
• Research staff

Requirements

• Review the Memorandum of Understanding to ensure that you meet the requirements.
• Contact your Faculty Librarian for guidance.
• Complete the CHELSA Letter of Introduction form.
