Lindokuhle Mhlongo completed his undergraduate and graduate studies exclusively at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg campus. For his PhD in Animal Science, he investigated the application of Acacia mearnsii forage as a dairy supplement. He studied for an MSc. in Animal Science (Cum laude), where he investigated ethnomedicinal plant extract use as a treatment for gastrointestinal nematodes in sheep and goats. He graduated as the best final year student in Animal Science in 2017. He is currently employed by the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein`s Animal Science department as the nGAP lecturer in Animal Science. His research interests include the control enteric methane emissions characteristics in ruminants using feed additives.
