The Department of Architecture, UFS, is pleased to announce that the 37th Sophia Gray Memorial Lecture and Exhibition will be presented this year by Savage + Dodd Architects.
Founded in Johannesburg in 1998 by Colin Savage and Heather Dodd, Savage + Dodd Architects is an award-winning practice recognised for its commitment to architecture that advances restorative spatial justice and urban resilience. Through projects spanning social housing, urban regeneration, public buildings, university facilities, and adaptive reuse, the practice has developed a body of work that responds thoughtfully and creatively to the complexities of the South African context. Their work demonstrates the transformative potential of architecture to shape more inclusive, resilient, and meaningful environments, earning both local and international recognition for design excellence.
