ABOUT ERASMUS 20+ 2023

The University of the Free State and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) agreed to cooperate on the exchange of students and staff in the context of the Erasmus+KA107 program. More information about mobility conditions is available at: https://erasmus-ka107.webs.upv.es/

INFORMATION FOR STAFF 
The administrative staff will participate in the Staff Weeks organized by UPV.
Period of the stay in the UPV: One week (five working days and two travel days) in 2023 according to the working plan agreed with the UPV hosting staff and the Staff week calendar.
ELIGIBLE lecturers: Academic staff from the Centre for Development Support (as appropriate according to the academic areas agreed in the Inter-institutional agreement). 

Applications should be  submitted to Professor Melanie Walker via email: WalkerMJ@ufs.ac.za:  ON or BEFORE 15 January 2023 

THE APPLICATION SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING CONTENT:

1. CV in English
2. Motivation letter where the applicant expresses why he/she wishes to participate in this exchange, overall objectives of the mobility, and expected outcomes on the professional development.
3. Draft of the working plan pre-agreed with a UPV professor

SELECTION CRITERIA

The selection committee will consider the following criteria:
1. English Competence (written and oral)  (up to 5 points)
2. Motivation letter: Up to 2 points
3. Applicant's curriculum vitae: up to 3 points
4. Proposed work plan: up to 4 points. This section will take into account the added value of mobility (for both institutions and for the participant) and the expected impact and results. 
Information for staff.

INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS

The mobility programme will provide doctoral students with the opportunity to  carry out research at the UPV as part of their doctoral thesis.
Period of stay at the UPV: 1st February to 30th June 2020

ELIGIBLE STUDENTS: 
PhD Students from the Higher Education and Human Development Research group and the Centre for Development Support.

APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED  to Professor Melanie Walker at: WalkerMJ@ufs.ac.za: BEFORE 15 December 2022

The application should contain:
• Academic record.
• Personal CV in English.
• Motivation letter where the applicant expresses the reasons why they wish to participate in this exchange.
• Doctoral students must present a document that refers to the research to be carried out at the UPV, with the approval of their thesis supervisor and the pre-acceptance of the UPV professor with whom they intend to research during the stay.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The Selection Committee will consider the following criteria in the selection of candidates:
1. Masters degree grade (up to 5 points); 
2. English Competence (written and oral)  (up to 5 points); 
3. Motivation letter (up to 5 points); 
4. Applicant’s CV (up to 5 points)
5. Others. Relevance of research to the mobility programme (up to 5 points)
After the deadline for submitting applications, the selection committee will meet on 15 January 2022 in order to select the candidates.
