The engagements with the broader community would form an integral part of the assessment strategy at all levels of programmes within the Institute (2004 - 2005).

Facilitated the establishment of a financial surety framework and system for Private Higher Education Providers in South Africa (2006).

Member of the SAQA Ministerial Task Team working on the implementation of RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) at post-school education level (2012 and 2018).

Initiating and chairing the SABS (South African Bureau of Standards) workstream on Innovation Management Standards (2011-2025). This involved the development of innovation management standards for the industry.
 
South African representative on the international ISO 279 working stream on Innovation Management (2012 -2025).

Served as a member of the Institutional Audit Committee of the Council for Higher Education (2010 -2015).

Served as a member of a Doctoral review panel for one of the large Public Universities in South Africa (2022).

One of three founding members of the Association for Private Higher Education Institutions in South Africa (SAPHE).

Chairperson of the SAPHE Board for two terms (2018 -2022).

Designed, developed and trademarked the Management of Technology, Innovation and People within a Systemic context (TIPS), framework (2011).

CEO of the tt100 Business Innovation Awards Programme. The programme has been sponsored by the DSI and the DTI and involved with over 18 000 businesses establishing the integration of management of technology, innovation, and people practices, within a systemic context (2005 – 2026).

Supervised 7 Masters and 23 Doctorate students since 2000.

In March 2025 Prof Benjamin Anderson was acknowledged as an Honorary Member of the Free State Business School for Scholarly contributions towards Management and leadership development (2025).

Delivered lectures and workshop at 26 National and 18 International conferences (2005 -2026).
