Research:

I am a Lecturer in the UFS Department of Geography. I obtained my PhD in Sustainability Science from Lund University in Sweden. My research interests include political ecology; environmental politics; conservation; sustainability; society and environment; and environmental governance. I am currently working on issues around the production of conservation space and social justice in the Maloti-Drakensberg Transfrontier Conservation and Development Area (MDTFCA). I have acted as a reviewer for the Journal of Environment & Development, the South African Geographical Journal, Anthropology Southern Africa, Geoforum, and Ecology and Society.
