The Department of Exercise and Sport Science started two new exercise programmes on Campus for staff and students.
Pilates and Insanity
The aim of these programmes is to create a platform for staff and students to become more active.
The two programmes are
Pilates
Pilates is known to improve flexibility, build strength and develop control and endurance in the whole human body. It puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, mental awareness and improving coordination and balance.
Insanity
Insanity is a maximum-interval training regime that lets you work as hard as you can for 3-minute intervals, with 30-second periods of rest in between. We look forward to seeing many people on campus becoming more active, because exercise is medicine.
