Two Post-Doctoral fellowship openings are available in 2018 in Multi-Wavelength Astrophysics from High Energy Cosmic Sources. Successful candidates will be expected to actively participate in the astrophysics groups' observational or modelling research programs focusing on  “multi-wavelength emission   from  high energy  accretion driven sources”.  From an observational perspective the successful candidate must have experience in observational optical astronomy, i.e. well versed in  observational techniques such as spectroscopy and photometry. A background in polarimetry will be highly recommended, as well as some experience in X-ray and Gamma-ray data analysis and interpretation. Alternatively, from a modelling perspective, it will be expected of the candidate to use open-source software like e.g. PLUTO to model outflows and emission from accretion driven systems such as: Cataclysmic Variables, X-ray and Gamma-ray binaries or AGN.  The research will be carried out in collaboration with members of the UFS astrophysics research group.
