The research focus of the group is:

Multi-wavelength studies of high energy and very high energy sources – Galactic and Extra-Galactic. This includes the observational and theoretical study of the production of radiation across the whole electromagnetic spectrum from galactic sources like gamma-ray binaries, cataclysmic variables and the jets from Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN), especially blazars, to understand the plethora of physical processes in these systems.
The group is part of the H.E.S.S. and CTA Gamma-Ray Collaborations.
Multi-wavelength studies of transient emissions from accretion driven sources using SALT and MeerKAT.
Research using multiple instruments, such as MeerKAT, SALT, SAAO 1.9 m Telescope, Boyden 1.5 m Telescope, XMM-Newton, Chandra, Swift, Fermi-LAT.
Theoretical modelling trying to explain observational data utilizing the UFS High Performance Cluster.
