Use of blended learning during #FeesMustFall: 2017 – 2019

From 2017 – 2019, CTL collaborated with the University of Pretoria, University of Johannesburg, and University of Cape Town in a study funded by the Carnegie Foundation of New York to investigate how blended learning was used during and after the #FeesMustFall protests that led to several campuses closing down just before the end-of-year examinations in 2016. These student protests marked a distinctive surge in the use of educational technology in teaching and learning pre-Covid.

This project led to the development of a Blended Learning Resources website https://blendedlearningresources.co.za/ and an institutional report.
