From 22 to 26 January 2024, UFS Career Services hosted its annual Health Sciences Career Week. All spheres in our lives are or will be impacted by artificial intelligence in some way or the other – health sciences too. Technology has already changed the way we diagnose and perform procedures, and more changes are to come.
On the second day of this popular event, experts address the pressing question of healthcare professions in the digital age. In addition, protecting the integrity of medical professionals provided some insights into what not to do, and crossing borders as a health care professional was also discussed. This topic fits well with the overall UFS Career Services theme for the year where local opportunities and talent are in the spotlight.
Health Sciences students could also participate in the CV writing and LinkedIn crash course also presented on the second day of the event. Although health sciences graduates are in demand, having an effective and up-to-date CV and LinkedIn profile greatly assists in getting the best opportunities in the field. Health Sciences students should take great care of their online presence to ensure that their integrity remains intact.

Many students attended the career week sessions to ensure that they make the most of their degree. Attendees even requested more topics despite their very busy schedules.
