Important notes regarding the VENUE:

2. Opening Ceremony and Scientific sessions:
   • The Opening Ceremony [Evening: 13 Sept] will be at BAINS Game Lodge, as well as the WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY [16 & 17 Sept] sessions. [For directions, see below]
   • The MONDAY and TUESDAY [14 & 15 Sept] sessions will be on the UFS Campus in the CR SWART Auditorium. [For directions, see below]
   • The Poster sessions on MONDAY and TUESDAY late afternoon/evenings [14 & 15 Sept] will also be on the UFS Campus in the CR SWART Auditorium. [For directions, see below]

Directions to Bains Game Lodge

From Bfn: Take the Nelson Mandela Drive (due west) out of the city. Cross the N1 highway. Continue 2km Gates on the right.


From Gauteng: The R64 (Nelson Mandela Drive) is the 3rd turn-off if you are coming from Gauteng. Take the turn-off and turn right (west) on the bridge. Cross the N1 and continue 2km further. Gates on the right.


From Cape Province: The R64 (Nelson Mandela Drive) is the 4th turn-off. Take the slipway left (due west) and continue 2km. Gates on the right.

1. From Bains Lodge: East on Nelson Mandela drive; cross N1 after 2 km; continue for another 3 km, reach DF Malherbe Ave [Note large brown roof building at south east corner of intersection = Kovsie church], and continue as in (ii) below; or from N1: Gauteng direction: Take R64 (Nelson Mandela Drive) turn-off; left at traffic light; continue east in Nelson Mandela Drive for 3 km to reach DF Malherbe Ave [Note large brown roof building at south east corner of intersection = Kovsie church], and continue as in (ii) below.
2. Enter UFS Campus from Nelson Mandela Drive [see B5 (Campus map)] southward into DF Malherbe Ave; UFS Gate/ security ca 100m on left. Through security, left at traffic circle, parking area immediately left.
3. On C5/D5 (Campus map): From parking space walk past Agricultural building ("Landbougebou") on Eastern side, follow paved footpath to Senate Rd North ("Senaatstraat Noord"); up with stairs, cross it and CR Swart Building directly across road: Building no 44.
4. Entrance: Walk Left for ca 50m in "Senaatstraat Noord", cross road. Enter Building; or follow signs: cross road directly after stairs, walk through opening between two buildings; enter CR Swart.
