  • The purpose of this Short Learning Programme (SLP) is to equip participants with the conceptual understanding and practical skills necessary to use generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) responsibly, effectively, and ethically in academia contexts. The programme aims to develop informed, critically reflective users of GenAI who can leverage these tools to enhance research design, data management, academic writing, and analytical productivity, while maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity.
  • Requirements for admission:
    - National Senior Certificate or equivalent; and
    - A letter of motivation.

  • The purpose of this Short Learning Programme (SLP) to prepare educators and policymakers to integrate AI into educational environments. Participants will explore how AI can be used to enhance teaching, learning, and administrative processes, while also understanding the critical policy frameworks necessary to govern its responsible and effective use. The SLP explores the complex world of AI for education. By training educators, researchers, and administrators in the practical applications of AI, this SLP builds capacity within the South African educational system. Participants gain hands-on experience in integrating AI into curricula, enhancing their ability to innovate and improve educational outcomes.

    - An equivalent NQF Level 5 Qualification; and 
    - Intermediate computer literacy.
