TREE- AND TRAFFIC SIGNS PROJECT

Students complete these skills development projects.  They will be requested, by their designated RCs, to bring an old T-shirt that means something to them.  Along with the old T-shirt, the students will be taught how to crochet simple yet beautiful pieces, which will then be wrapped around various trees at different locations on campus to create a beautiful art piece.

Kovsie ACT aims to create a social space where students from different backgrounds come together to learn and grow during the two weeks before formal lectures commence. New friendships will be formed and lots of fun is to be had during those two weeks leading up to the big reveal.  

What we really want them to take away from this experience is that when they walk around campus, they feel a sense of belonging and pride when looking at their handiwork.
