1. What impact has GradStar had on your life in 2023?

Making the GradStar Top 100 is a fantastic accomplishment for me. Well, I'll be able to answer this after meeting the other GradStar recipients in Johannesburg in December. However, this has been a personal accomplishment that has pushed me and my peers to continually aim for the best. This accomplishment came at a time when I was doubting my ability since student life can be daunting at times, but the year turned out to be a success. I'm looking forward to networking with potential employees and possibly securing articles of clerkship; fingers crossed. Furthermore, companies are aware of GradStar, and adding this success to my curriculum vitae would help me more, among other things.

2. How do you stay motivated and on track with your studies?

Tjoe! This is an intriguing question...I stay motivated by taking purposeful breaks as required, as well as routinely walking while listening to music. This has greatly aided my ability to handle my academic stress. There is no magic to it; simply listen to your body; otherwise, you will burn out, which is not a pleasant place to be.

Thus, taking purposeful breaks is required before returning to your academic obligations and deadlines, and remember to pray at every step of the journey.

3. What drives you to excel in your studies?

I have set personal goals for myself that I need to attain. Goals that will help me grow as an individual.

I am a visionary who applies intrinsic values and standards to achieve my goals. As a result, I have a strong desire to pursue my career with zeal, as seen by my academic record and curriculum vitae.

4. Will you recommend GradStar to other students? Why/Why not?

Joining the GradStar family is a pleasant experience that every student requires, where you may network with prospective employers, and therefore via this networking platform you can acquire employment from big top firms and corporations in the sector. Students like myself would ignore networking until I obtained the qualification and needed to find employment however, the GradStar App allows you to apply for internships and a broad range of opportunities. 

5. What are your plans for 2023?

To end the year on a high note, I completing my studies and am looking forward to obtaining my "qualification obtained" notification. It is worth mentioning that the gala dinner in Johannesburg is among my plans, or rather what I'm looking forward to as the year comes to an end.
