On 26 July 2019, residence students on the Bloemfontein Campus handed a memorandum and petition to the university management regarding the proposed revised residence-placement policy, as well as the maintenance and upkeeping of residences on the campus.

Feedback on the memorandum and petition was yesterday given by Prof Prakash Naidoo, Vice-Rector: Operations, to a group of students who gathered in front of the Main Building.

In the feedback provided by Prof Naidoo, it was indicated that the existing residence-placement policy will continue until a full consultation process on the proposed new placement policy and the existing policy takes place. A commitment was also given that feedback would be provided within 48 hours on matters raised by residents in connection with continuous maintenance, with the necessary indication of completion times. The students were not satisfied with the feedback but decided to deliberate on management's response.

Kovsie alumni reunion on the Thames.
2005-07-07

There are only 20 places left for Kovsie Alumni that want to attend the Castle Lager Kovsie Alumni London Reunion! This year’s reunion will be in a class of its own and will be held on the Queen Mary on the Thames River. The reunion will take place next Saturday 16 July and the popular Blou Willem Theron will be the key note speaker. A cantush will also be held. (For those who do not know what that is, the Alumni will sing traditional South African songs and have an incredible time!).

The reunion will start at 18:30 and tickets cost £10. This includes a buffet dinner and access to the Queen Mary nightclub later the evening. Unfortunately, only 150 people can be accommodated on the Queen Mary (130 people have already booked). Therefore, if you know of any Kovsie Alumni in the United Kingdom, contact Anli Bosman at anlibosman@yahoo.com.
