The University of the Free State’s Student Representative Council (SRC) elections took place on the Bloemfontein,
Qwaqwa, and
South campuses during August.
The following candidates were successfully elected as 2019/2020 SRC members on our three respective campuses.

Shimlas won't lie down after defeat

The Shimlas of the University of the Free State (UFS) played their fourth match in the FNB Varsity Cup against the Maties at the Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch this week.
The Shimlas gave the Maties a real fright at first, with a score of 14-15 at half-time. In the second half, however, the Maties started fighting back and ended up winning their home match 31-15.
The Shimlas are now getting ready to give their all at their home match next week. Coach Jaco Swanepoel and his team will undoubtedly impress in the match against the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) on Monday, 1 March at Shimla Park at 18:30.
