The University of the Free State’s Student Representative Council (SRC) elections took place on the Bloemfontein,
Qwaqwa, and
South campuses during August.
The following candidates were successfully elected as 2019/2020 SRC members on our three respective campuses.

| A Directorate for Institutional Research and Academic Planning (DIRAP), a reconfiguration of the UFS Planning Unit, was launched at the University of the Free State (UFS). DIRAP will be at the forefront surveying and paving the way for the UFS’s strategic and academic planning, management information, institutional research and quality assurance.
The functions will be organised in a more integrated and structured manner than had previously been the case.
Dr Louis van der Westhuizen is the Acting Director of DIRAP, and the sub-directorates comprise Institutional Information, Quality Assurance, Teaching and Learning, Programme Design and Approval, and Student Development and Success.
